MOULAGE

During my time in Milan, I completed an intensive three-month course at the prestigious Istituto di Moda Burgo, where I immersed myself in the art of moulage. I had the opportunity to study there thanks to a scholarship I was awarded through Encuentro Creativo, a competition organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico, in recognition of my project Picazo Textile Studio. This experience allowed me to explore the intricate craftsmanship behind haute couture dressmaking, deepening my understanding of hand-sewing techniques, fabric manipulation, and the sculptural use of the mannequin. It was a transformative chapter in my creative journey, refining both my technical skills and my appreciation for the poetry of garment construction.
